Betonstaal Curaçao's scope for the first phase of the Corendon Beach Resort project consisted of the on-site installation of the reinforcing bars for the newly built main building, the restaurant and the extension of the existing buildings. The tight schedule of the huge project by Curaçao standards was constantly monitored. During the entire process, a little effort was regularly made to prevent unwanted delays in the planning. Due to the good cooperation with BMW Caribbean NV as main contractor and the other subcontractors on the project, Betonstaal Curacao has certainly contributed to the successful realization of the first phase of the Corendon Beach Resort.

Because of the tight schedule and complex reinforcement for the Mega Cruise Pier 2 in Curacao, we choose deliberately for Betonstaal Curacao as the rebar subcontractor. The added value of Roy Voogt has proven to be a decisive factor to avoid mistakes and delays in rebar preparation and fixing. There has been a good communication and cooperation during the Project with our engineering and supervising teams and although work conditions, working over water, were new to his crew, the rebar installation has been on schedule and no safety incidents have occurred. The Project has been handed over on time and Betonstaal Curacao had a major part in this success. I can recommend Betonstaal Curacao to other contractors which are looking for a rebar subcontractor which is capable of the execution of their reinforcement works on time, safe and without mistakes. The hands on approach and technical knowledge of Roy Voogt will cause that less involvement of their engineers and supervisors will be needed.
