Salu Power Plant

Aqualectra is currently constructing the new diesel and grid-balancing power plant, the Salu Power Plant (with a capacity of approximately 40 megawatts), on the Isla site. The main contractor for the engines and technology is the Finnish company Wärtsilä. MNO Vervat Curaçao is carrying out the large-scale civil construction work on behalf of Wärtsilä.

Betonstaal Curaçao’s work for the Salu Power Plant project, on behalf of MNO Vervat Curaçao, includes on-site cutting, bending, and prefabrication of rebar cages, as well as the installation of the concrete reinforcement for the entire project.
